Strippers banned in Iceland

Strippers banned in Iceland

July 24, 2010 | figurative painting | No Comments

Hi Paula, I have been meaning to write to you and thank you for this splendid website you made and I feel honored to be part of this. This radio snip you heard about striptease in Iceland is one of the many funny stories that are always floating around about Icelanders and our strange ways.

Yes, we have banned strippers in the sense of nude dancing is banned in special joints but we the artists can have people stripping as we like, paying them as we like and they can even dance in the name of art as long as there is no pole involved (just a pencil) and no official place for stripping. Strippers usually have very little clothes on but models for artists are usually absolutely naked which is of course much more civilized.
Best regards,

Karl Jóhann Jonsson
