Born in 1982, Anne Lebreton-Launes spent her school years drawing in the margins of her notebooks; she joined the faculty of Arts of Bordeaux III and graduated in 2005.

Then she explored manual trades, which deal directly with materials: leather work, traditional masonry, carpentry joinery ...

She completed her first bronze in 2011, presents her work in local shows and exhibits at Ar'Toulouse in 2015.

Her work, fed by years of practice of drawing, is both technical, demanding, and sensual: her figures seem steeped in a primal material, thick and solid, the body wrap and unfold like to find the point balance between anatomical correctness and unattainable dream: they are on the borderline between the real body and the perfect body. Cinched waists, wide hips, broad shoulders, body-landscapes.

The portraits are also hilly, hollow and solid, all types: screaming or peaceful, young, old, smiling, even laughing; human passions cross them, universal, timeless.
