Ann-Marie Brown is a Canadian painter who makes her home on the Sunshine Coast of Canada, and her studio around the world. The figure is the starting point for her work. These painting are from the series The Storm and I, a body of work that distills contemporary events into figures that are experiencing them.

Before the public exhibition of this work, thieves disabled the security system at Galerie d’Avignon in Montreal, and stole 3 of the 4 large paintings from the exhibit.

If you come across these paintings in your travels, you can contact the Quebec police Art.Alert@surete.qc.ca and reference file 17-033 to rescue these works from the museum of the missing.
